More Changes Coming to Metro Bus Schedules Starting December 19th

More buses and route changes are coming to Burbank starting December 19th as Metro’s NextGen Phase 3 begins to roll out.

Metro will be releasing additional route changes and improved bus schedules beginning Sunday, December 19th, as a part of Phase 3 of Metro’s NextGen Bus Plan. These new service changes will better align with travel patterns and serve to improve service and frequency across its network. These changes will include route changes and improved schedules for many of Burbank’s bus routes.

BTMO is dedicated to providing its members and commuters with the most up-to-date info on these changes, and will continue to do so as the NextGen program is rolled out across the Metro system.

Additionally, fare collection and front-door-only boarding will be resuming on the Metro bus network beginning January 10, 2022. Metro will be releasing discounted fares, including half-price passes and 90 days of free rides for all new LIFE Pass riders. In addition, the Metro Fareless Pilot has introduced the Metro Student GoPass, making Metro free for students K-12 and community college students at campuses, schools, and/or school districts. Find out if your school is participating in the program here.
