What is the BTMO Mobility Map?

 

The BTMO Mobility Map is an interactive web map that displays all of the rail, bus and bicycle options which serve Burbank. As an interactive map you are able to pull up information that applies to your commute specifically. For example, you can click on mobility options of interest and find details about them in their pop-up tables, including their updates routes and schedules! You can also type in any address or place name in the lookup bar, like your home or destination, and see nearby mobility options. 

 

How to Use the Mobility App

 

Navigation

Find your location of interest by using the lookup bar (magnifying glass) and adjust the scale by clicking the + and – buttons on the left side of the screen. To screenshot the map, use the picture icon below the + and – buttons. To share the map, select the select button below the lookup bar.

Finding Mobility Option Information

On the bottom right corner of the screen, you can select the three parallel lines button to view the legend for the map, and the squares button to view the layers. When selecting the layers button, you can turn off different elements on the map by selecting the eye icon next to each item.

Map Customization

To find details about the mobility options you’re interested in, simply click directly on a point or line and a pop-up table should appear. All of the rail and bus lines serving Warner Center, as well as all Metro Rail Lines, are equipped with links to their updated schedules.

 

Map Definitions

LA Metro Rail Station: Dark colored M circle on the map. This is a heavy rail subway station.

 

Metrolink Station: Clear square logo is a station to a Metrolink Commuter rail line.

 

LA Metro Bus Stop: Colored red on the map. You can identify the bus lines at your selected stop by selecting the bus stop and clicking the arrows on the bottom right corner of the popup to display all bus lines serving that station.

 

Burbank Bus Pink and NOHO Routes: Colored light pink and orange on the map, these buses are operated by Burbank Bus. You can find their stations on the map.

 

LA Metro Bus Routes (Both regular and Downtown): Colored light green on the map. You can view bus routes by selecting the light green lines on the map.

 

LA Metro (Red) B Line: Colored red on the map, and thicker than the other lines. The B line is a heavy rail subway that takes you to downtown.

 

LA Metro (Rapid Bus on App) G Line: Colored light orange on the map, this line meets the B line in North Hollywood and is a Bronze Standard Bus Rapid Transit Line.

 

Metrolink Lines: These are colored teal on the map and are commuter rail services that take you to either Downtown, Ventura County, or Palmdale/Lancaster.

 

Bikeways: Bikeways are colored light blue on the map. They are listed as four different types, specified below. You can view bike lane type by selecting the light blue lines on the map.

  • Type 1 (Bike Path): Off-street paved path, intended exclusively for non-motorized use. Electric-assist and electric-powered mobility devices (e.g. electric bikes) allowed as per CA State Statute**
  • Type 2 (Unprotected Bike Lanes): On-street striped travel lane, for the exclusive use of bicycles.
  • Type 3 (Bike Route): On-street shared travel lane, shared space with other vehicular traffic.
  • Type 4 (Protected or Separated Bike Lanes): On-street striped travel lane, exclusive use of bicycles. Unlike Type 2, these bike lanes ae protected by barriers, flexible posts, or on-street parking.
