California Clean Air Day returns on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Organized by the Coalition for Clean Air, this statewide event encourages individuals, businesses, schools, nonprofits, and government agencies to take simple actions that reduce air pollution and protect public health.

Transportation is one of the largest contributors to air pollution in California, making sustainable commute choices one of the most effective ways to improve air quality, reduce congestion, and create healthier communities. Clean Air Day aligns with BTMO’s mission to improve mobility and access while encouraging cleaner transportation options throughout Burbank.
Take the Clean Air Pledge
One of the easiest ways to participate is by taking the Clean Air Pledge. Individuals, organizations, and students can commit to actions that help clear the air, from trying transit and carpooling to planning ahead for more sustainable travel choices.
Ride Transit for Free
Several local transit agencies are offering free rides on October 7, making it easier than ever to leave your car at home and try a cleaner commute option.

Get Involved
Employee Transportation Coordinators are encouraged to promote Clean Air Day within their organizations, share available commuter benefits, and encourage employees to try transit, carpooling, biking, walking, or teleworking.
