Happy Earth Day from the BTMO! This year marks the 56th annual celebration of sustainability and conservation, with the hope to keep our environment protected for future generations. The theme is “Our Power, Our Planet.”

Our everyday actions can make a significant difference in improving the environment in for our Burbank community, especially transportation choices. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are released into the air and reduce air quality when fossil fuels, like gasoline, are used in vehicles. A single gallon of gasoline produces 8,887 grams CO2, one type GHG, and a gallon of diesel produces 10,180 grams CO2.[1] Practicing sustainable transportation habits is achievable with the transit agencies in Burbank, BurbankBus, LA Metro, LADOT, and Metrolink. Plus, you can ride for free on Earth Day!

BurbankBus

BurbankBus is the local transit agency for the City and fares are typically $1.00 per ride. There are two bus lines, the Pink Route and the Orange Route.
