Transit Options to BUR

The Hollywood Burbank Airport has multiple transit options to for hassle-free travel. Metro Micro within the North Hollywood/Burbank region and direct Metrolink and bus lines make it easier to celebrate this holiday season.

Metro Micro to BUR Terminals

Metro Micro is an all-mobility on-demand service like Lyft and Uber. It can take up to ten passengers and costs $2.50 per person for a one-way ride anywhere within the North Hollywood/Burbank region (highlighted in the map below). Operational hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  1. Mobile: Download the Metro Micro app from the Apple Store or Google Play and book your ride.

Metrolink and Bus Options to the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC) at BUR

Metrolink to

  • Ventura County Line: The route travels from Ventura to the LA Union Station. To get to BUR, exit at the Burbank Airport-South Station and get to the RITC via the Empire Avenue Street crossing that leads straight to elevator and escalator access to the elevated walkway. From there, take the complimentary airport shuttle to your terminal, operational hours are from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

  • Antelope Valley Line: The route goes from Lancaster to LA Union Station. To take it to BUR, exit at the Burbank Airport-North Station. From there, take the complimentary airport shuttle that operates from 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. to get to your terminal.

 

Bus Lines to BUR

Metro Bus Lines to RITC

  • 165: West Hills – Burbank via Vanowen St., from there take the complimentary shuttle to your terminal
  • 169: Warner Center – Burbank Airport via Valley Circle-Saticoy St., from there take the complimentary shuttle to your terminal
  • 222: Lankershim/Tuxford – Burbank Airport – Hollywood via Hollywood Way & Cahuenga Blvd., from there take the complimentary shuttle to your terminal
  • 294: Burbank Station – Sylmar Station via San Fernando Rd., from there take the complimentary shuttle to your terminal

Burbank Bus Line to BUR

  • Orange Route: Starts at LA Metro North Hollywood B (Red) and G (Orange Line) Station and runs east along Burbank Boulevard before heading counterclockwise to the Hollywood Burbank Airport and then back to the North Hollywood Station.

Metro Rail and Bus Options to LAX

Metro also offers direct rail and bus routes to LAX with one-way fares of $1.75 and free transfers within two hours. Here’s a breakdown of the rail and bus lines for reaching LAX:

Rail Lines to Aviation/LAX Station

  • C Line: Runs from Norwalk Station to Aviation/LAX Station. From there, take the Metro Connector shuttle (runs every 15 minutes) to the LAX terminals.

 

  • K Line: Starting at Expo/Crenshaw Station in Jefferson Park, the K Line reaches Westchester/Veterans Station. Transfer here to the C & K Link bus, connecting you to the Metro Connector at Aviation/LAX Station, which will take you to your terminal.

 

Bus Lines to LAX City Bus Center

  • 111: Runs from Norwalk to the LAX City Bus Center via Florence Ave.
  • 117: Connects Downey to the LAX City Bus Center via Imperial Hwy. and Century Blvd.
  • 102: Operates between South Gate and LAX City Bus Center via La Tijera Blvd. and Exposition Blvd.
  • 120: Runs from Whittier to Aviation/LAX Station via Imperial Hwy.
  • 232: Connects Downtown Long Beach to the LAX City Bus Center via Sepulveda Blvd. and Pacific Coast Hwy.

Connecting to Flyaway via Metro

  • Union Station: Bus lines 111, 117, 120, and 232 offer direct service to Union Station, where you can then hop on Flyaway.

 

  • Van Nuys Airport: Bus lines 169 and 237 connect to Van Nuys Airport’s Flyaway Terminal for an easy ride to LAX.’
