Discover everything you need to prepare for Bike to Work Day, explore sustainable transportation options, and gather valuable resources from health and community representatives.

Gear up for Bike to Work Day with complimentary bike check-ups and refurbished bike sales from Burbank Bike Angels. Plus, we will have representatives from local bike shops, bike organizations, and planning agencies to help you discover the best bike routes, learn about group rides, receive biking tips, and hear about future first/last mile planning efforts.  

Plus, you can learn about the many ways to incorporate all types of eco-friendly mobility options into your daily routine and chat with local health and community representatives.

When: May 15th , 11am to 2pm 

Where: Johnny Carson Park (400 S. Bob Hope Drive Burbank, CA 91505).

 

Unable to attend? No worries! Join us at the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station from 3:30 to 6:00 pm, where BTMO will be stationed with giveaways and transportation resources.

This annual event encourages commuters to bike to work (or wherever they need to go), helping to save money, improve health and lower stress levels — all while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

Bike safety tips for participants:

  • Wear appropriate attire.
  • Follow all traffic laws.
  • Cross at intersections.
  • Look both ways before entering the street.
  • Scan the area as you cross the road.
  • Be alert! Avoid wearing headphones or looking at your phone so you can be aware of what is happening around you.
  • Ensure all equipment works on your bicycle (do an ABC Quick Check).
  • Always wear a helmet.
  • Go with the flow: Ride in the same direction as the traffic.
  • Bicycles should be equipped with a white headlight and a red rear reflector.
